FactMeter is a fact-verification initiative dedicated to uncovering misconceptions and combating the wave of misinformation and disinformation that widely circulates across various media platforms. We focus on social and political issues that often become sources of public confusion and deception, with the primary goal of fostering a society that is better informed and more critical in processing information.

This project was first initiated on November 19, 2023, in the city of Surabaya. As part of a pilot project within the master’s curriculum at Universitas Airlangga, FactMeter has transformed into a significant platform in shaping fact-based public opinion.
